Restoration of a Victorian Mill Building

A Victorian building representative of the industrial history of the region and the country, Union Mills served as home to various textile related companies, temporary quarters for a burned-down high school, a furniture warehouse, restaurant, and now, its latest purpose - residential living.

To stabilize the brick building while maintaining its historic integrity, the restoration project called for reproductions of the original cast elements for the building’s exterior. Working from one of the original cast iron cross elements, Clarksville Foundry created a pattern and cast 60 additional elements for the building.
