Charles Foust, Jr., current president of Clarksville Foundry, graduated at the top of his class in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1978. He was appointed vice president of Clarksville Foundry in 1980, became president in 1981, and immediately initiated technology upgrades and shifts in product emphasis. In 1994, Charles Foust, Jr. was named Tennessee Small Business Person of the Year by the United State Small Business Administration, in recognition of his business savvy during adverse situations that resulted in astounding turnaround growth and prosperity for Clarksville Foundry.
